The Admin talks about our online community
Friday, December 30th
I did some more reorganization on the forums today to accommodate
growth and also created a page of resources about
How To
Visit Failing Enterprise Anonymously. I hope this is
helpful.
The day's not over and there are already 194 new messages on the
board!
Thursday, December 29th
I added some new forums today (a new "Stage 3") to be a meeting
point for employees and attorneys to discuss possible lawsuits
against Enterprise. Our members keep telling us again and
again about all sorts of practices at Enterprise that sound like
they might be illegal; I just wanted to make it easier for people to
get together and compare notes and for attorneys to be able to do
their research and contact witnesses.
I wish Enterprise played by the rules, but since they're not, I
don't mind providing a neutral meeting house for people to discuss
their legal options.
The total post count is now up to 26,000 and with 120 new posts
per day, it's starting to turn like an odometer on a long car trip
(this one's definitely got unlimited mileage).
For those of you who've been following our post card design
efforts; fear not. I can hear the presses running now and the
letter carriers are buying Bengay in the jumbo economy size so
they'll be ready for the onslaught.
Tuesday, December 13th
I've added some new features today for our friends in the U.K.
First, the Internet domain name
www.FailingEnterprise.co.uk now brings you directly to our home
page. Secondly, there's a link on the front page, under the
"Our Community" section that shoots you directly to a special U.K.
discussion board gateway and then right into the U.K. discussion
board forum. I hope this helps make things faster and easier.
A possible source of all the newly increased traffic (and
dissatisfaction) coming out of the U.K. branches is, apparently,
that most of the country is "on payback", in which commissioned
employees actually owe money back to the company and will get zeroed
out commission payments (Merry Christmas, psssshaw!) until there's
been enough positive earnings to pay off this "debt".
Apparently, some feel I'm your Enterprise
agony uncle,
so feel free to jump in on the discussion board and lets get it all
out.
Monday, December 12th
Lots of new
Fan Mail today. It's nice to see it keep rolling in.
For the past several days there's been a surge in postings from
the U.K. and I'm not sure why. Group U4 in particular seems to
be generating a lot of discussion.
I still haven't resolved the issues surrounding our ads on
Google. Enterprise has apparently demanded that Google
suppress even legally protected "Fair Use" of the Enterprise
trademark, and Google is complying, banning any ads that even
identify Enterprise by name. I still haven't decided how to
proceed with this. It does seem to violate Google's promise to
"Don't Be Evil". Enterprise, by contrast, has never bothered
making this sort of promise. I'd be happy if they just had a far more
limited "Don't Lie To Customers" policy. It's the holiday
season, so I can ask for whatever I want.
The discussion board now has 23,000 messages on it, and we're
averaging well over 100 new posts per day.
I'm working on a few new ideas for the site and may do some
roll-outs over the next few weeks.
