MT's get paid overtime (1.5x pay) for any hours over 40 as well... 49.5 hours is the average work week, so the average MT is getting 19 hours worth of OT per paycheck. The 49.5 hours/week is also what is figured into the annual salary quote for an MT (varies by state I would guess)
