Not to beat a dead horse with this, but I worked for Gilmore. He was the most loyal "E" employee I had ever met. Here is what happened, Gilmore requested to transfer to TX and Doug denied the request from Gilmore to speak with TX about a transfer because of a "requires improvement" review he forced Lawson to give Gilmore. Gilmore even sat down with Doug and asked him to allow him to speak with the GM of TX so he could show him his last 12 reviews and explain to him the situation for moving. Doug killed the request and told Gilmore that Chip was on his side so don't even bother going above his head.
The pill that I think was hard for Gilmore to swallow was that Lawson told him it would be no problem transferring and even began getting the paper work started with Polito. If I were Gilmore I would have gone to Corporate with the whole mess of being promised one thing and then shut down when it was too late to make any changes.
It all boils down to Gilmore being friends with Lawson and not wanting to get him in the middle of all this mess and possibly impacting Lawson's career negatively.
Gilmore, things are a dissaster over here and you are missed.
