I'll have an office and it's casual dress and no sales or customer service dealings. It's an analytical position with an big time investment firm.

CURRENT ERAC EMPLOYESS -- you can do the same thing I did, b/c i'm not very smart. Granted, I did major in real subjectmatter in school and graduated with above a 3.5 GPA (I worked hard) BUT what really won me the spot was spinning all the shit you do at ERAC into exmaples of what the interviewer was looking for.

If you are looking to change careers and get out of God-awful sales and customer service or dealing with the general public, you may have to start at entery level (though if it's a good position wou'll make more than ERAC money with fewer hours!). Becuase it's entery level, most of the questions will not be skill specific (the job teaches you this), but will be behavioral-based ("desribe a time when you solved a complicated problem" etc.). When asked these questions by the interviewer, I could think of ten examples from this month alone. Plus, getting to a position of management (which isn't that hard with ERAC) is a great selling point for interviewers. If I can make this leap, practically anyone car.

Wanna know how twisted I am? I'm taking 3 weeks off after my last ERAC day. On one of those off Monday mornings I have I'm going to drive to my old branch, at 7 AM, get a 12-pack, sit in a lawn chair across the street from my branch, drink my beer and laugh at all the ERAC peeps running around while customers yell at them and shit on their faces. It'll be the best feeling in the world not to have to deal with that stuff any more. WHO's WITH ME???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats to finally opening your eyes by leaving your "job" at ERAC and much success with your new "career".
