We all worked with Tom and saw how broke he was and how he would blow what little money Enterprise paid him by blowing it on various bets. Now, you have also lived in Vegas for a while, so I would suppose that you should understand that very, very few people can effectively make a living by gambling for a living and even fewer can do so by placing sports bets for a living. In fact, I would say that it is damn near impossible when a few things are considered. First, the Casino always has juice, which guarantees that they are always going to come out on top in the end. Second, these people that claim to be experts in picking sports teams are not very good at doing so and routinely lose to other methods that are completely at random, such as having a dog pick the winner out of a bowl with 2 separate names on it or a baby pick its choice of bottle with 2 different teams names on them. Third, these people that do gamble teams for a living tend to do it as a full time job and pore over tons of information and spend many hours every day doing this. How would Tom be able to do this while working a full-time job. No, the only way that Tom could ever be able to make money by betting on sports was if he was somehow smarter than all the people working at the casino or he would have to be able to predict the future. Now, we know he is not that smart and the guy really doesn't look like Kreskin to me. The whole story kind of reminds me of another certain Asst. MGR at ERAC who told me that he was making $55K a year as a day trader in his spare time. So, why are you still slaving away 60 hrs. a week for $36K a year? Remember, the reason Tom was still living with his parents up into his 30's was because he couldn't afford to live on his own. I don't know if he still lives with them, but......

3. Yeah, I saw the pictures of Jill in the Francine Mazza thread. She looks like she has put on about 20-25 lbs., which is a lot for somebody as short as she is. It couldn't have happened to a nicer person.....

4. Once again, you are probably right. Jill is quite possibly too selfish to ever be a mother. I would agree that it is probably a good thing that she is hopefully going to be too old to conceive soon without the help of fertility treatments, which she won't be able to afford working at ERAC. She wasn't always like that, though. She has become like that through the years by working at E-Crap. I think the job tends to make people like that. Well, she gets what she deserves, which is going to be a rapidly approaching menopause spent in isolation. Maybe she can get a cat.....

I never knew it was that bad for Tommy Boy. Jill better settle for a cat because her eggs are kaput.
