Perhaps you are one of the few that ACTUALLY enjoys working for ERAC. Good for you, but don't feel the need to think that everyone who leaves simply couldn't hack it. Me personally, I could see what ERAC was doing to my soul (I was becoming bitter with the world and everyone who had a job involving less hours and hassle, I could foresee the hours causing a straining on my marriage eventually, AND I couldn't ethically take the fact that I was being required to lie to customers every day. So good for you if you enjoyed it, but I certainly don't think that everyone that leaves simply couldn't hack it....it's not that challenging of a job. It's a good place to start though. I certainly learned a lot....and the moved on to the next adventure. |
Thank You!
I was just stating a fact about my training experiences at both companies. My current job is much more mentally demanding in terms of skills and thinking on my feet than washing cars and selling damage waiver. Everyone that works at ERAC when I go to rent cars now asks me if they can send me their resume'. I still get calls from bodyshop owners that I remained friends with (and still visit) and they think the company is rediculous and are happy for me that I left. I did very well by ERAC standards when I worked there and could have been promoted right away after passing my MQI. I knew for me there were better opportunities out there. I used ERAC just as ERAC used me to get ahead. I encourage everyone there to just get as far as you need to make yourself marketable to a company who will treat you how you like (whether that is ERAC or not - is up to you). By the way- no one was holding my hand at training in my current job. If a person doesn't cut it- they cut the person even in training. Nobody ever held my hand, which you should not even comment on since clearly ERAC is the only sales training you can refer to. Remember - I experienced ERAC training and another sales training and I know what I am talking about. You have no experience in my current company's program. If you want to be taken seriously by anyone on this site - you must make logical and rhetorical sense.
