His people just didnt want to pull together for him. The same thing happened to Derek (I wish i could have been in the room for that firing). It isn't all G's fault though. The higher up you go with E, the worse it gets from a taking sh*t perspective - and sh*t always flows downhill. He is probably kicking his feet back glad as hell that he is no longer with the big green. I'm sure when they fired him the post for his open job(on a dot matrix printer, ha ha) said "Here we grow again!!" The E propaganda machine at full steam. |
I was in his area when he left and the #'s part is not true. His area was #1 in ESQi, #2 in OP, growth was above region and retention was way above the regional average. Solid point made from the previouspost on the 5 year asst. mgr for DD. DD was a whiney little snot back then and it would appear the airline industry is now suffering his incompetence. Not sure about other managers but whatever DD got he certainly deserved. The amazing thing is that it didn't happen sooner. I always felt like GF had my back and never felt that from DS or AS so can't really comment on other managers. I moved into the Virginia group shortly thereafter and it's an entirely different world there, in a good way, though much of the same corp. rhetoric. Not as much shagging your neighbors wife thats for sure. Jobs a job. Do it clean and it doesn't matter where you work.
