Do you actually want this person to fail to validate the fact that you made a good life decision by staying at ERAC? What does it matter if this person succeeds or fails? I sounds like ERAC wasn't for him/her (like thousands and thousands of people before them) who cares what happens to them once they leave.
Another thing, why do ERAC people automatically assume failure if someone leaves the circle? Get over yourself.
