Thinking of Quitting? Here's some advice. If you are thinking of quitting don't tell your immediate boss, go above them, don't quit mid-month do it first week of any given month so you get your full commission check, leave with class so you can get a new job, try not to take anyone down with you, it will make you look terrible, trust that you will find a better job there are tons of employers that will see your resume and contact you, get your resume on ALL career sites but know that if you do you are likely already on the way out (HR will find your resume and likely the AM will talk to you). Stay in contact with friends outside ERAC (contacts from college helped tremendously). They can refer you for interviews. If you are not happy with ERAC, quit. I did and I have my life back. I was dangerously close to simply fading out with tons of friends and even family members. To think I was sacrificing that to work for ERAC is scary. I don't have too many terrible things to say about ERAC, but just look at the job description and ask yourself if this is what you want to do with your time...One last thing, I quit without having the new career lined up. I'm not sure if this is the best way to do it, but if you do go this route, set a goal to interview 5 times a week. Hope this helps... |
