Default Re: Anybody Here From Group 34?

Please, list the opportunities that ERAC (in group 34) offers and actually is good on their word? Ok, ok, yes you can move up quickly, but then what happens? When you're an MT, yes your BRM's are nazi's when it comes to your hours so that they don't pay you above the 50 hours you were "thoroughly explained" to by the recruiter. Yes, you are pressured to make those goals so that you can take a mundane handwritten test in the promise of more money. Yes you are studying for months for the all encompassing "grill" that has almost every MT shaking in their boots so that you can reach that "promotable" status.

Keep in mind ERAC doesn't want you to stay at that MA status long because it's a pay raise and yes, you are still hourly. Then, there you are, a prestigious Assistant Manager. You think, "Wow, I've made it, I have some power". Guess what, you are the hardest working employee in ERAC, you are now salaried which means that that enormous 50 hour workweek looks like paradise to your new schedule.

Lunches? Look back, do any of you remember your assistant manager or branch manager taking lunches? You are now the one who is watching the clock and sending your hourly employees home so that your personell expense doesn't negatively impact your commission and because you are now having to stay late so that you can finish up everything that couldn't and I stress COULD NOT be done during the day. Time managment has nothing to do with this because as the assistant you are responsible for: everyone, everything, fleet, esqi, schedules, ar's, jv's, reviews, delegation here, there and still you haven 't eaten anything other than that cold burger that one of your car preps got for you around 11am.

Yes, ERAC's promises are beautiful. But always remember, only 10% of branch managers make it to area manager. Calculate those numbers and see if it is really worth your precious time and mental stability.

An area manager once told me, "If your significant other doesn't like ERAC the relationship will never work". Maybe that significant other has seen what is really going on and doesn't want to be with a newly inducted cult member.
