OK, I worked at 39 during the entire DD/GF era...I can honestly say that everyone is right - Damon was awful and Gary was not an effective manager operationally. Damon was so awful I had honestly forgotten about him until reading this thread. But his "letter" against Gary was unfounded and ridiculous. Their styles clashed - that was it. He wasn't the only area R employee writing letters when they left attacking GF and although we liked GF (I was very upet when he left) I am sure that we were much better off without both of them.
Also - Derek was put in a shitty position - putting ridiculous goals in front of GF knowing he couldn't meet them, letting him go and then getting let go himself...Ever since Adam S. got to EE other people have been taking the fall for his failures. "The Good Old Days" at EE will always be those of Dan Miller.
