Disgruntled, Did you tell them it was OK to drop off the car at the body shop and THEN charge him until the next business day? After telling him you wouldn't?
That is the issue. If the policy is to charge until pick up then the policy should be to TELL the customer that also. Then you wouldn't have to debate anyone! Everybody wins.
