 Re: Your final straw?
My final straw came when my RRM got upset when I told a sales training class a story about how we were really short staffed one day, worked 13 hours straight with no breaks or lunches, and wrote about 80 contracts between basically three people. I tried to put a positive spin on it (the ERAC way) and explained how much teamwork was involved that day and how we survived because of each other. Well, he did not like that I had told everyone the story because he thought that if I was that open about it in training, that means I would also be telling customers and accounts about how ERAC really treats its employees. He even called my BM/AM to have them discuss it with me. I was ready to quit by that point and was waiting on a job offer, but that put me beyond the point of return. Oh yeah, I did tell plenty of customers about it that day and the days following. I even had one lady tell me to quit because her nephew had worked for them, and she knew how rotten it was. Needless to say, I got a new job a few weeks later and have been so happy ever since. I still post here because I find this site humorous. Plus, I never got the exit interview I was promised not that ERAC keeps promises anyway to customers or employees…  |
