Re: Orlando Managers Meeting experience You failed to mention the alcohol-soaked nights either in the many, many 'courtesy rooms' filled with beer and ping pong tables on site or the clubs out at Pleasure Island. Katie was urged by her Area Manager to mingle and "network", and the company provided a constant shuttle service and FREE DRINK TICKETS to the Pleasure Island clubs (and ONLY to the Pleasure Island clubs) (Katie noticed that the courtesy rooms featured only Budweiser products, mind you, because Andy is on the board of directors for Anheuser - Busch on behalf of fellow greedy CEO Augie Busch.) Even though Katie read the warning in her managers' packet about not overindulging in alcohol, she had heard all about the party atmosphere at Orlando from the more experienced managers. They explained to her that this was Jack & Andy's way to "reward the managers with a big party", and that at Enterprise we "work hard and play hard" so she could ignore all that stuff in the packet and party hard. You failed to mention that Katie had a roommate who was a manager from So Cal who picked up at one of the clubs at Pleasure Island, brought home her new "date" (an LCAM from GP06) at 3:30 am, and giggled noisily with him until the LCAM had to go be sick in their bathroom. (You failed to mention that EVERYONE has a roommate in Orlando except the RVPs, who arrive two days early to take up all the hotel suites) You forgot to mention the Hertz counter at the hotel where Katie stayed, which was heavily and repeatedly vandalized by the drunks bussed back from Pleasure Island. You didn't explain how Katie was urged to do things and act in ways she probably knew her husband and small children wouldn't approve of, but, hey, they would never know, because this was Orlando, she had worked hard and earned this, and now she could play hard with her ERAC buddies. "WHAT HAPPENS IN ORLANDO, STAYS IN ORLANDO" Because there is never any gossip at Enterprise, right? |
