I hope Obama has the balls to start drilling in Alaska and North Dakota/Montana. The U.S. has the 2nd highest amount of oil, perhaps even the highest if they actually looked for it on their lands.
Obviously the plan is for the developed countries to suck the Middle East and Africa dry. Once their oil is used up, the U.S. will then resort to drilling on their own land. By then the Middle East and Africa will be screwed, especially Iraq and Iran where they don't even have their own refineries.
Europe will go on the decline, but the U.S. will be just fine. They might get surpassed by China in about 15 to 20 years, but 2nd place in the world isn't so bad.
