Re: age you left at I was 19 when i started. A few weeks later I was still 19 when I jumped ship. I recently quit and right now it feels like I just came out of a two week drinking binge that was not fun...petrifying and eye widening..but not fun. How to sum up my experience at Enterprise? for 4.5 years not a scratch on my driving record, never bumped into anything etc... within a week at Enterprise I was already involved in two accidents (one fault, one not at fault). Basically I feel lied to, betrayed and sick to my stomach. No were during my interview or in training did they mention id be doing up to 3 return/drop off valets all over the city and downtown per day. When they saw that I am currently enrolled in an Economics and Finance degree during my interview, they mention I could be doing some A/R, checking over B/S, things that could help my degree Thats kind of hard to do when your either out of the office all day driving, or dealing with 2 different customers in the office with like 4 phone lines going off at the same time all throughout the day. I remember the exact moment I knew that I wanted to quit. about 5 minutes into my office or "office", I already thought to myself " Fuck me, what did I just get myself into!" Anyways after my first day, and yes they did start our class of interns on a FRIDAY, I worked from 745 to around 7 with no lunch break and spent 10 hours assuming the role of a make shift cab driver and car washer. That night I tried to research some info about RALPH to find out perhaps some tips about how to navigate the geriatric software. That lead me to this sight. As soon as I noticed a thread with 1000's of post about not receiving a lunch break it was like that scene from the Matrix were Neo truly wakes up. Ive seen some people say it took them months or years to see through the smoke and mirrors that is Enterprise. I ran out of Kool aid pretty much after my first day. I can rant on about other crap that i did not approve of at Enterprise but Ill save it for other posts, for now Im just happy to feel free again, no more monkey on my back each night, no more 25 reservations the next day with only 5 cars on our lot, no more trying to look a somebody between the eyes when I give them my Shtick about the beneficial Enterprise "Protection" package. I feel bad abandoning my coworkers n manager, they were all great people, but it got to that point were I felt like puking everyday I woke up and that was only after a few days!!!!!!!!. All I can say is keep on rolln' failing enterprise, and free the people. P.S. instead of dishing out my employee discount to family members im now gunna give them your print n go checklist so they don't get screwed over. |
