...there's a branch two blocks from my house, looks like they had a great weekend....but that means tuesday morning is going to be a bitch.

...Region C's old Vehicle repair guy took a step down because he hated reported to loss control. makes perfect sense, though, doesn't it? have vehicle repair report to loss control. brilliant. at least they hired a group VR guy. after they let derek go. CC's VR spot was SO attractive that only one person put in.

...Region C's "superstar" area managers can't get there shit together - or maybe never had it together. some were promoted so quick, they never got used to adversity or to developing people, so now when the shit hit the fan and their people are struggling, they don't know what to do. so what happens? people leave.

...Grace was made group HR person - why??? did we really need more overhead? and she has done such a magnificent job. more on this later...

...DD is still in a funk and will be in one for the forseeable future. why? Poor hiring. there are some damn good people there, but there retention blows and their old recruiter is the reason why. Essentially, a large, LARGE percentage of her hires came off of Monster. Instead of working the schools and trade shows, she hung out in her office and checked monster. the end result is a bunch of hires who only want a job - and those people make the job harder for the few who actually want to be there. The best part of this deal? they promoted her to level 3 a while back. she's gone now, but it will take a while before the mess she created gets cleaned up.

...would DD be in better hands if their RRM actually lived in the region? Susie wanted her right-hand person to fix DD, but in reality, she may have put the wrong person there. The region needed new blood and fresh ideas, and instead got a serviceable but unspectacular person who's never had to face the tough issues facing DD. good move, susie.

...DD promoted their old VR guy to operations to save money. they figured they could just move him over and put their coordinator in charge of VR for a bit. if he performs, he gets promoted, if he doesn't - he's cheap and easy to get rid of. and i'd bet a whole lot that Andre still does a lot of VR stuff.

...DD is so strapped for people that they took a remarketing guy and put him BACK into rental at the office they took him out of because they thought he was cheating the system - he was pulling $1200's at a 40 car branch.

...the latest DD area manager casualty was a guy who was accused of not having control of his mgrs. he was also rumored to be porking this hot little thing who used to be his employee (who is currently a br mgr). and they are both married to spouses who they don't see very often. instead of "as the world turns", it should be "as erac turns".

...a DD manager was fired because when his employee asked for a few days off, he asked for a blowjob. quality.

...a bunch of current and former (mostly former) employees recently received their payment checks from a recent lawsuit that accused ERAC of not getting their employees to lunch. Spent mine on a new TV. Makes me wonder how many more lawsuits there are out there.

...FF's HR person is dana. She is the new HR person because she knows the right people. here's the DL. Not only does she have a high ranking relative in another region, but Pam is very powerful in FF. Other then the RVP and RRM, she probably is the highest paid person in F. Heck, she probably makes more then the RRM. Anyways, the plan was to eliminate Dana's position to save cost. but what to do with her? she was a level two with a company car and she had her connections. well, all the other dept head jobs were taken, and we couldn't put her into rental (she's cool, but couldn't sell dub to save her life, and she never grilled if i remember right) and we can't "demote" her - so let's get rid of grace's ridiculous overhead and push that to the group, then we can write up her position specifically for dana (level 2 experience) that eliminates her toughest competition (the person who HAS BEEN doing the job for the last 5 years). this way, F get's rid of grace's ridiculous number (feels like the NBA) and Dana can keep a "cush" admin job. Haven't you ever noticed that her position was never filled? hmmm...

...but of course, if you believe that, then you believe that group 30 has enough forsight to figure that out...but it's not like they're solving any major issues, just protecting one of their own.

...Finnally! after months of people leaving (even for LESS money) and low morale, 30's "Leadership" has decided to adjust the mgrs pay plan so they can make more close to what they should be. We can dog this company and its leadership all we want, but most of the managers are normal, everyday people who work very hard and deserve to make at least more then their assistants.

...i've got lot's more tidbits. let me know if you guys out there are actually interested in this stuff. and please, this is a forum, reply and add your comments.
