After taxes, you might make 24K. However, you should realize that your increase in income means a substantial increase in both hours worked and a substantial decrease in the amount of dignity you will have after six months.
To that point, you could also clean port-a-potties and recieve a wage, however, that does not make it a good idea.
Have you looked at any other options? Is grad school in the cards? I understand if you need to take it (I took it as more or less a temp job) however, I think it would be wise to look at all the possibilities first.
If you want to see what is is like, drive over to the branch early in the morning, park your car, and watch the pain begin.
