I agree it's pretty amazing that some people still use the term "gay" as a sort of generic insult. It seems to be fairly common, particularly here on the board, but I wish people wouldn't use it.
I'm delighted when someone comes up with a really clever insult; try something like that (the Brits are particularly good at it). I realize I may be a little biased, living in San Francisco and all, but calling someone "gay" as a one-size-fits-all criticism shows you really lack sophistication and frankly haven't travelled much or learned much about the world. You insult yourselves significantly when you use it; try something better.
