As for it being all business. An organization's greatest asset is its employees. Promoting one guy who can get it done sales wise doesn't even compare to the number of solid employees and potential leaders that same person alienates and pushes out the door. I don't know this Scott guy, but the other poster mentioned this guy's ineffective leadership ability and you counter with how quick he was promoted. Who cares if he got promoted in 3 years? The time it takes someone to land the promotion does not correlate with their ability to lead. Those two have nothing in common. Until Erac grasps this concept and stops basing promotion ONLY on sales and ass kissing ability, they will always promote poor leaders and allow good ones and potential great ones to slip through their fingers.
