Re: Should Only Registered Users Be Allowed To Post? Admin, I agree that the current employees need to maintain their anonymity. As has been suggested repeatedly, they are the ones who need to vent most, and yet have the most to lose, seeing as how they work for Big Brother Incarnate. I signed up after I left the company, but I also feel that my handle and my info are sufficiently protected. I'm also incredibly careful about what I reveal about myself in these posts. My reasons are pretty sound; it's been awhile but I'm still draining the green koolaid from my system, and loss control is a sub-community of E...therefore it'd be fairly easy for anyone who knows what they are doing to figure out my identity. If I felt the need to say more about myself, I would. I think anonymity is controlled mostly by the person doing the talking. I chose to register because I have a base of knowledge beyond rental (i.e. E's loss procedures, collections procedures, repair guidelines, etc.) and felt that I should contribute my knowledge to help customers in the future. I couldn't do that by callingmyself "User0001" etc., but I could by calling myself ExLossControl. I like the idea of allowing anonymous posts in the "I Currently Work" fora...but perhaps the rest of the fora could be more beneficial, ideas could flow easier, and more constructive conversation could occur if everyone was at least able to identify each other. It sounds to me like Admin is making as much accommodation as he can to allow for anonymous, yet registered, posting. I'll remain a member of the community regardless. |
