I just used this three days ago: For my Airport rental, I made a res with Hertz and Avis. I called ERAC from the airport terminal and told them that I have a res w/Hertz but REALLY wanted to rent thru ERAC. ERAC is always looking to steal rentals from the competition so they'll be sure to offer you a good car at a decent rate... even if they're low on cars (because the rental gods will take car of them, right?). I was going to buy dw anyways because I can expense my rental so... I asked for DW only (the split). Then I mentioned that I used to work for ERAC.. the guy bled his sole about hating his job etc... BUT... he still need to get as much dw/pai/slp as possible. Not caring about rate, I told him if he gives me another 20% off my rental, I'd take pai. Done deal. |
