After you called me on saying "I have an interesting life" and suggested it sounded like I was trying to prove something, I reconsidered and decided I didn't want that sentence up there. But then all the subsequent messages were based upon that and it would have been tough to delete just the initiating message. Then I decided I have the right to delete my own posts, just like every other registered user, but then... then I just got pissed and deleted the thread.

Hmmm, upon meeting this discussion board participant for dinner did they meet my expectations for them? Probably more no than yes. E-mail (and Private Messaging) and telephone are vastly different communication channels than meeting in person, so it's probably not reasonable to expect they'll turn out in person like you figured they would.

I was pleasantly surprised. I had a great time. It was a fun conversation.

But I don't have an interesting life.

I've also now received another dinner invitation from another community member. Time to look at my travel schedule!
