Man, I used to work in that area. John was a good guy, just a little off kilter. But in a good way. He’d make people laugh until they wet their pants. I think it was HILARIOUS what he did.

On Sundays, we’d get our asses handed to us. I know the details of the story. I’m sure Inez talked shit about John to Kevin all the time. So Kevin HAD to of known John, if only by Inez’s description; there were not that many six foot two bald guys with a country accent there. Kevin wanted to play a little game. And he lost. John knew he should’ve handled it another way, but he was fed up. It was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

John was also a big motherfucker. Aveo and Radar, I promise he’d positively destroy both of your sorry asses . . . probably at the same time.

And as for him being a “Neanderthal” this guy had a personal library at home of over 300 books on everything from quantum physics to history. He was smarter than folks gave him credit for; you just had to know him. He knew people thought he was a goof-off. He laughed about it. And, apparently, he’s doing better than we are.
