This is one of those moments when I will welcome some flamage. You sound like a puss to me. Where the heck can you work that your baby is stillborn and you take two months off, some of it unpaid, and still have a job?

I would have regretted the fact that your child perished, given you a reasonable amount of time to get your head straight (I am thinking 1 to 2 weeks here, tops) and expected you back at work.
