What does this information have anything to do with what happened with the rental return? I love how customers add useless and frivolous detail to their story when they are trying to explain how they've been wronged. Makes it more dramatic. Personally insulting?? Get over yourself. It's a customer service situation that needs to be handled, not a personal attack on everything you and your wife stand for.
