I didn't realize this was a courtroom, Judge Judy. You were a good soldier. Your fiancee majors in church music. But I doubt the country was calling upon you and your girl to hold the line and sing a Jesus hymn when you were dropping that car off. You were simply a customer that received some low quality service and is having an issue with some rental car company. Simple as that. Your personal backgrounds have nothing to do with your story (or at least they shouldn't). I have an undergrad degree in Comm. with a clean criminal record too, but you won't see me dropping those tidbits of info when I'm trying to tell complete strangers about a customer dispute that I am going through. That info is completely unapplicable.
Have you ever worked in retail for an extended period of time? I would simply roll my eyes when customers would drag on their explanation of why they feel wronged. I would fix their problem out of good customer service, but really didn't need to hear the impertinent details.
