My problem is that this whole thing is that one issue with one branch is automatically extended to the whole company...
The original post, IMHO, really belongs on
www.ripoff.com, not
www.failingenterprise.com This is one situation, dealing with one branch, and is not necessarily a reflection on the whole company.
I can't tell you how many cameras, cell phones, garage door openers, cd collections, firearms, etc. etc. etc. I have either held for, delivered to, or FedEx'ed to my customers. At the same time, I also can't tell you how many times a customer has absolutely insisted they have left valuables, cash, irreplaceable family heirlooms, etc (my favorite was the supposed photo album containing the last remaining images of Dear Departed Grandpa) when we haven't even touched the car yet. The cars are not always re-rented .00007 microseconds after they are returned. WE go right out and check, but still, we are the thieves...
By the way, the photo album deal was quickly resolved by the area manager. A full refund of the $450 rental and it was all, "We never liked looking at that old cuss anyway..."
