 Car damage that I haven't done....
I rented a white car at ERAC last Weekend. It was $20 a day to rent and another $20/day for CDW. I declined buying CDW because it was too much and I was sure there will be no problem (stupid).... When we walked around the car with the ERAC employee, I didn’t notice any particular damage. However at the evening of the same day, I noticed some dents on top of the hood. Top of the hood was not where I paid my most attention to find damages when I was renting this car. At the same time when renting, it was very sunny and in direct sunshine I didn’t see some small dents on the hood. Any way, after returning the car I was told to be responsible for the damage. I asked them for condition report or past contracts, but they wouldn’t give me those.... Now I am waiting that Loss Control dept looks at the previous contracts for me and if the damage was reported before, I wouldn't be responsible. Otherwise I will be responsible and have to pay for something that I haven't done for sure. Any suggestions? What should I do?  |
