The strong run the company and reap the rewards. The weak, you and your friends, help us operationally for a little while and then go elsewhere, which is what we want. I have seen this group make great stides over the past 2 years and we will, in fact, earn an exceptional achievement award this fiscal year. BD and I have helped turn this group into a power house and we did not need you and your cry baby friends regardless of what you think. The only ones who complain are the ones that don't matter anyway, True heroes win! Why do you hate us so much? Is it because we are #1?
I'd rather be "weak" and move on to something I enjoy and am payed adequately for than be a "hero", "reap the rewards", and be hated by everyone who works underneath you! You wanna talk about hero's? A hero is someone who is looked up to by others. Not hated and bashed by his peers.
Since you're so great, please enlighten us by answering my original question:

Why not spend that money on employee development, satisfaction and retention?

Please inform me as to what the drawbacks would be from running a business where everybody was happy, continuing to learn new and better ways of being successful, and having a true desire to see the business prosper?

All arguments aside, what sense does it make to constantly retrain new people how to do the basics. It's inevitable that there's always going to be some people that aren't cut out to make it to the top, but why continue to take 1 step back and 2 steps forward by forcing people to hate their jobs when you could throw it into overdrive and make all your steps in a forward motion, continue to grow, and still hire new blood to fuel the growth?
