WTF??? Speaking of formulating a thought......Sit down think your thought through, then type.
My point is this....The "stats" on the matrix, can be manipulated and or misinterpreted. You cant possibly disagree with me on this. Number of tickets written and DUB sales does not take into account what the circumstances are (I, B, D, R, etc...). Corporate Accounts?? Thats a joke. Referrals? (also a joke).
All these "measurable" components in the matrix (that in your opinion are a formula for success) can be manipulated to make an individual look "promotable" by ERAC standards.
I am not saying that the values that the matrix sets out to display are not good, they are (work hard, sell, promote the business, etc...). But it cant be the only way to determine promotions, because of the fact that it can be manipulated or misinterpreted.
I just think its the lazy man's way out of sitting down and really getting to know your employees, to determine the best man or woman for the job....Unless you are ok with blindly promoting cheaters, sneaks, and frauds, along with your occasional genuinely good employee.
Sounds like you are still at ERAC, you are the one that needs the luck.
Good luck
