The current law on inheritance taxes makes the tax rate vary tremendously depending upon which upcoming year you might die in.

Sorry for the sentiment here, but I'm not saying anything that a dozen Taylor family accountants haven't already talked about.
By the way, this does help to put some timing issues into perspective. 2010 is only 38 months away. This explains why I've been hearing rumors of Enterprise doing various things to groom the company's structure and finances in anticipation of a possible IPO or spin-off. This will be a big event for them. We'll make sure it's a big event for us here, too.
