I will tell you though that if it didn't, I would let them know what would make me happy. A 'you aren't going to get away with this' attitude isn't going to solve anything, because no solution is offered.

To answer your question though.... Hmmmm. I stay a night in a hotel and find a loaded gun and no one is hurt? I would probably build some hype by pointing out that someone could have been hurt and shoot (hehe, I said shoot) for a voucher for like 5 free nights if it were some sort of hotel chain. They would probably then tell me they could do three, which I would accept.

Part of my ability to dismiss the firearm incident my have to do with my upbringing. MY family includes plenty of ex-marines and law enforcement so I grew up around guns and fired my first when I was around four years old. A gun can't hurt anyone by itself.
