More Nepotism at ERAC?!? Got this today, and thought I might pass this on: Quote: Today, I am particularly proud to announce that two members of the Taylor family – Carolyn Kindle Payne and Chrissy Taylor – have been promoted to the officer level as Assistant Vice Presidents. And I am particularly pleased both women attained the title the old-fashioned way – they earned it. In our family, Carolyn and Chrissy are referred to as members of the G3, or the third generation. Both women are the granddaughters of company Founder Jack Taylor. Chrissy is my daughter, and Carolyn is my niece and the daughter of my sister, Jo Ann Taylor Kindle, President of the Enterprise Foundation. I have said repeatedly that the intention of our family is to have Enterprise remain a family-owned company. The continued commitment of both Carolyn and Chrissy to the company only underscores that pledge. Carolyn and Chrissy, like my sister and me, have been around the company most of their lives. Carolyn started as a rental Intern in the Southwest Group during breaks from the University of Tulsa. She began her full-time Enterprise career as a Management Trainee, also in the Southwest Group, following her graduation. Chrissy followed a similar path after graduation from Miami (Ohio) University, working for a brief time with the Centric Group, another Taylor family business, before beginning her rental career as a Management Trainee in the St. Louis Group. Carolyn progressed to the level of Assistant Branch Manager in Tulsa before transferring to the St. Louis Group where she held a number of Rental and Fleet Management positions. Chrissy also progressed the rental ladder to the position of Branch Manager, a position she held until 2003. Carolyn and Chrissy were promoted to Corporate Manager positions in June of 2003, where they spent the next several years being introduced to a wide variety of management practices and disciplines. Earlier this year, Chrissy accepted a position as Corporate Rental Manager in Europe, where she has responsibility for the development of our home-city retail and airport rental businesses. Carolyn had been serving as a member of the national marketing management team until recently when she accepted the position of Corporate Rental Manager in support of our operating groups in the southeastern part of the United States. Chrissy will remain in the United Kingdom and Carolyn in St. Louis at Corporate headquarters. Please join me in congratulating both women. It is a proud day for our family. -Andy | I LOVE the part where he says they "earned" their position. One of them was a BM until 3 years ago. What career path is that exactly, where you go from a Branch Manager to Asst. Vice Pres. in 3 years??? Sounds like they really EARNED it. Blech. |
