1) Erac makes life easier on themselves by letting customers drop at the shop and then picks the cars up later.
2) Shops tell customers to drop at the shop.
3) A customer who drops a $15000 car at the shop and gives the keys to someone other than the owner to save time is looking for trouble.

Answer: All that matters is #3 - So pay for the damage.
