It all depends. Cost of living is pretty high in the bay area and starting as an MT doesn't pay all that well (it's the overtime that you get the $$$). In the interviews they tell about the kind of money u can make but you don't really make it till you become a branch manager/area manager or go into remarket1ing or go into the admin side. I think the starting salary for an MT is like $13/14 hour plus overtime. Hope this information helps.
