Default Re: Falsely Accused of Damage (Please Help)

This is the first time I have seen this website and I cannot believe how similar these stories are to my case. There must be thousands of these stories out their, which tells me that Enterprise must train their employees on how to scam their customers.

Anyway, I had to rent a car through Enterprise, which I will never do again, because I was rear ended and the other guys insurance company sent me to them while my car was in the shop. Believe it or not, the whole accident that I was in and dealing with the insurance company was nothing compared to dealing with Enterprise.

It was a nightmare with them from the get go. The insurance company told me to just drop my car off at the body shop in the morning and Enterprise would have a car there waiting for me. Yeah right, I got there, waited for about 45 minutes until someone from Enterprise finally showed up. At that point, I thought, finally, I can fill out whatever paperwork is needed, take the car and get on with my life. Wrong, I then had to drive with this guy to the other side of town to fill out all of the paperwork and BS mumbo jumbo that they make you go through.

One other thing that I should mention is that, we had requested to the insurance company that we receive a car that was comparable to our car that was wrecked which was a 2006 Chrysler 300. The person from the insurance had spoke to someone from enterprise and said that it was no problem. Well, they had an old ass Ford Taurus there for me. I did mention to the person at enterprise what I was promised and he had no idea what I was talking about and looked at me like a was being some kind of diva for requesting such a thing, but said he would try to get one for me. He told me to take the Taurus and he would have the other car brought to me and swapped out. Okay, no problem, right? Anyway, I could go on and on about the hassle of this part of my experience, but after effort on my part, they finally swapped cars with me the next day.

When they brought the car, I did the 2nd walk around with the girl that they sent and tried to be really thorough even though this was right outside of my place of business. I signed the paper, switched keys and thought I could move on with my life. Wrong again, Later that evening (Friday evening), my husband was driving and I was the passenger, when I closed the door on my side, I notice that there was a small ding on the door, which I didn't notice during the walk around. My husband said that I should just go in first thing when they open, which I did, and tell them what I found. When I did this, they looked at me like I was trying to pull some kind of scam on them, then had the person that did the walk around come out and look and she said, "Oh, I would have noticed that."

Next, they said they had to fill out an "accident" report. I then said that there was no accident and repeated again that the damage was already there. They said this is just a procedure that they have to follow to get all of the facts. I proceeded to tell them when I noticed the damage, etc. and I was still being treating like a criminal or something. At this point I still managed to keep my cool.

Once they were finished filling out their little report, they started talking about my insurance deductible and what not. I then started getting really pissed. I did not cause this damage and was not going to pay for something that was already there. Besides it was very minor, I had just come in to tell them so that I wouldn't get charged. Big Mistake!!!

I refused to sign there little POS report. I told them that if I did, it was basically admitting to something I didn't do. Again they said, that it was just procedure and wasn't admission to guilt. Whatever, I'm so glad I didn't sign that shit. We took pictures of the, so-called damage, that they tried sending us a $600+ bill for 3 months later. I am now working with a loss control manager and she had me email her the pictures and will "get back with me".

The damage was smaller than a quarter anyway. There is no way I am paying for this shit. I am sooo pissed off. Someone really needs to expose Enterprise as the thieves and scam artists that they are.
