It's another ERAC "service" to their customers. Joe Corp Acct calls wanting to make a rez for an out of town trip in another city. ERACer says "I can't set that up here, let me call my VIP line"...it's just a direct line to a department at Nat Rez where they can take care of making the rez quickly.
Recently there had been a crackdown on having the customer call VIP directly (a common ERAC blowoff technique to have the customer call so that the ERACer didn't have to spend the time on it) because customers were calling and taking up a lot of time by asking lots of questions, etc.
In theory it sounds special, but anyone can call the Nat Rez # and get the same prices/results. A corp acct # gives you special rates everywhere, the VIP doesn't add any discounts. |
