Precisely why I never rent from ERAC. Anything less than a full tank is a stupid policy. Having worked with ERAC and a couple other companies, I hated the ERAC policy on gas. ERAC loses "Far more" money on gas then they make.
The real reason, is they're too cheap to hire the staff necessary that it would take to run the car over to the gas station to fill it up. And from my experience working with other companies, less than 10% cars came back less than full after having been given out full.
