We haven't heard from him yet, although I suspect we won't. If he doesn't respond by June 10th, then he'll default (just like his mother did) and we'll get a judgement against both of them. Armed with that, we can put a lien on her house and attach her wages.

We're suing both of them because the messages came from her house and some of them from her e-mail address (Diane, you shouldn't have lied to me on the phone...). Therefor, we'll pursue both of them. Sure, John is likely hiding and working under the table, but she's not. She's a 53 year old homeowner with a regular job. Not a good move on her part to default on a lawsuit.

Reminds me of a mother-son team who murdered and grifted from coast to coast back in the late 90s. Murdered some dude in the Bahamas and in NY and CA. Anyone remember the case or the names?

I haven't heard from John Watie in a while. I suspect one of two possibilities:

1. He got nabbed by the cops for being a fugitive from Florida and is either in jail or being extradited.

2. He or his mother finally got some sense and hired an attorney, who upon reviewing the case said, "Jesus H. Fucking Christ on a stick, you fucking retard! Stop doing that shit!".

He's got until June 10th to respond to the suit or else he defaults.
