I'm as open-minded about race as they come, and don't believe anyone "speaks black" but seriously, you have to agree there is trash in every race and the dialects and slang are specific to that group.

There are inherent differences between the dialects of, say, someone from the "dirty south" and white trash from the coast. You can pretend to be above it, but you know the differences are there.

Hip Hop talk is not just linked to black people (Eminem, Paul Wall, VANILLA ICE, Bubba Sparxx) and whatever. People from the south speak Southern, Creole,People in New England talk different as well and if I am not mistaken there are black people up there as well (I have met them both). What I am saying is that there may be a predominancy (is that a word?) of blacks speaking Hip Hop or Ebonics as it was horrifically named, but there are also a lot of blacks who speak "white" out there as well. It's just another way of society labeling something to try and separate races again as opposed to genres or styles.
