| I don't think cocaine use should a reason for termination. I don't think any company should test for any drug. If someones work performance sucks they should be terminated because their work performance sucks. If it doesn't, then who cares what they do in their off time. |

what if you smoke pot behind the building and then return to your duties, and the custmer walks in and says ""i smell something funny"" and you say""nope, i don't smell anything"" i wonder how many potheads and drug dealers still work for ecrap kinda makes ya wonder did any car preps do any drugs??? i'm guessing yes!!! |

| Do you really think an MT so high he wouldn't remember anything would go without notice? Of course not just like someone who was that intoxicated on alcohol would not go unnoticed. If someone smokes pot at work, don't you think a manager would smell it, let alone the customer? Your argument concerns people who use drugs at work. I'm talking about what people do in their off time. |

| I forgot to answer the comment about how many drug users work for ERAC. I'm sure the number is just about the same as any other large company in America. |

what if you did a wake and bake, then drove in and was STONED OFF YOUR ASS that you couldn't function and you needed a ""calm me down"" drug before you went in NOW, tell me , does my story hold water??? |
| |||
| Not really. If you were stoned (I assume on marijuana) and took a drug to calm you down further (another depressant) then you would be really f**ked up when you arrived at work. Think the manager might notice that? Even if you didn't take another depressant, showing up to work after smoking pot would be easy to spot. Incidentally, how is that different from showing up after drinking in the morning? To me this is too easy. If you do drugs of any kind (with the exception of nicotine and caffeine) at work, then you should be fired. If you do drugs of any kind in your off time, who cares? |

and how would your boss notice Quote:
if you can HIDE IT WELL, then no |

| Actually, your argument about using drugs in the off time affecting your whole life isn't valid. How many people do you know that drink alcohol? Does it affect their work performance? Do they use it at work? Probably not. Are you suggesting we ban all ERAC employees from consuming alcohol? Incidentally, if your boss can't notice when you show up stoned, high, or drunk then he's a f**king idiot. |
