Thinking of applying for an IT position with ERAC HQ...can anyone confirm/deny pre-employment drug screening for programmers at the St. Louis HQ? What about credit/background checks?

Look, better to be safe than sorry. Just go buy one of those drinks that will make your pee test go through. I had to test once I made manager, I took the drink, and was fine. This was a while ago though. I am not sure if you have to take the test as part of a pre-employment process. My guess is that you wont. That will eliminate a lot of potential ERAC recruits if that were the general process. They cant afford to do something like that, it is hard enough to get someone to work there as it is.

ERAC is a drug culture, don't worry about a drug test. You'll be doing plenty of drugs and alcohol your first week.

In our group you have a to pass a background and credit check when hired (and they pull a MVR) and to be promoted to L2 or L3 you have to pass the drug test....

Got the offer today...drug test is required. FYI.
