If the one-ways are not an option in the summer, then that needs to be stated in the one-way policy in RALPH. It would be exceedingly simple to call the Home City or Airport team and have them put "During the months of ___, ____, and ____, one-way drops are not allowed." There are thousands of offices with thousands of policies. If someone from the group does not call to tell us of any changes, we'll assume, out of necessity, that the policies are the same. Lack of communication is my biggest pet peeve with this company. We do not tell customers that offices have car seats unless the car seat appears for us to select, and we would, at that time, also quote the price per day. Same with ski racks. If they are on the screen for us to select and they shouldn't be, someone needs to call up their contact at NatRes and have them change it in RALPH, otherwise the problem will continue to exist. We MUST trust RALPH or we would never get any work done and the whole company would lose money. As I said, thousands of offices, thousands of policies. It all boils down to this: We tell customers exactly what we are told to tell the customers. If we need to be telling them something different, then a manager needs to call and tell us that. We don't have ESP.

That post was me, by the way... I hate how I can post without logging in, this is the second time I've done that without realizing. __________________ NatResGirl

I have called NatRes and sold out a branch that I was running for the whole summer. I did not want anything to book that I was not aware of. I could control my own fleet and rates. I would sell out the internet too. From what I understand, NatRes and internet are not really connected to eachother. I would however change rates on the internet and NatRes. We can track reservation # from internet and NatRes but the reservations that the office makes itself do not show up on reservation counts in terms of Utilization management spreadsheets. One thing that kills us is internet reservations, different websites will not have specifics of certain branches. Such as options of ski racks, baby seats and the whatnots. It will say if Enterprise offers these at the airports or does not. For example, not specifiying if Seattle doen't have baby seats and LAX does.

There were a lot of times I wish I could have sold out, or at least put the limited availability tag on some, when having the opportunity to "run my own branch" ...what a joke |

Worst thing I ever saw NatRes people do (besides actually quoting customers specific vehicles even down to COLORS) was booking rez's even after we were sold out. How did they do this? They charged big rates for what looked to be booked as a SFAR and then put in the res notes that "customer wants Suburban or Tahoe but that class was blocked out." Guess who came to the obvious and expected the XXAR? Yup, that's right. Not saying all NatRes employees are like that, but that one really sucked.

I've seen things like that. Some customers are really adamant, and while we are trained on the all-important "SIMILAR IN SIZE TO...." ... a lot of agents either balk under a customer's pressure or they just don't care. And it sucks for me when a customer calls back to check on something or to change something and I have to explain to them that no, they do not have a red Mustang convertible waiting for them at Chicago Midway two weeks from now, and no, we're not going to bring one there for them. That sure makes customers confident in this company's level of customer service, doesn't it? __________________ NatResGirl

I was running a branch on a semi Private air strip. A lot of private jets flew in there. I had no weekend specials, no cash, no pick ups really, no internet or natres reservations. just deliver the car to the FBO and they would do the rest. I just had to have the car ready. My average rate was over $35. But people coming off a private jet were pretty picky. Specific cars and colors, It was fun when I would go up to the main airport and just take them. Good times had by all. Large SUV's $150 day.

That sounds pretty perfect. Did you leave that position voluntarily--quitting or moving up, etc. ? __________________ NatResGirl
