| With the holiday's quickly approaching, 3299 has decided to consolidate its Loss Control department to the group office in Carson. This will result in about 75 dedicated ERAC employees being "forced out" of their jobs effective January 1st. In the interest of "fairness" ERAC will be giving Loss Control employees the opportunity to interview for the very limited number of positions available in the new department. If an employee is not selected for one of these spots, they will be given the opportunity to "pursue other endeavors." Though I am not a Loss Control employee my sympathy goes out to those who are about to be screwed by ERAC during the holiday season. I've been posting pro-ERAC messages on this site for years but this development has convinced me that GP32 management has completely lost sight of the ERAC mission statement. Morale in the entire group is terrible and most employees have a complete lack of confidence in the ability of upper management to do anything to fix the problem. I seriously doubt that the suffering that this would cause the families of those 75 employees even crossed the mind of those at GP32 that made this decision. I am now sad and ashamed to work for ERAC. I'd like to look for another job, but ERAC makes it exceptionally difficult to search for a job while you are employed with them. HR searches major employment websites for current employees and reports them to management if their resumes are discovered online. I have seen many fellow employees "decide to leave" on the very same day their resume is posted. If they decide to stay they face daily harassment and punishment by management until their resume is taken down or they quit. I'm not sure if this goes on in other groups, but it is extremely common in GP32. I propose a new GP32 Mission Statement: Take care of the upper managers. Screw the common employees. Raises and promotions will follow. |

| I thought ERAC boasted that it had never made anyone redundant? With this and Germany and Ireland it would seem that their statement isn't wholly accurate. __________________ Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? |

Business sense wise this is a great move. If Enterprise didn't make its bullshit claims about how it treats employeesthis would really be a non issue. Just another example of how ERAC management really thinks about its level 1's and 2's. Honestly, do you think Brett Bittle and crew give two shits about people in loss control? They make their millions and call it a day. Sure they might talk about morality and all that feel good crap but they honestly could care less. As soon as one person leaves there are 5 more suckers to replace them. Group 32 has been going down for some time now. They can't replace managers fast enough, especially the good ones. I think that they are finding it much harder to replace its employees, the length of time until a promotion seems to have become shorter when compared to 5 years ago. The quality of new hires is way down. Corporate is trying to do whatever they can to keep the revenue growth up. The fact of the matter is that Group 32 is stagnate, real growth isn't really happening. They have close to 60,000 cars in southern california. All branches can do right now at this point is steal rides from other branches if they want to get promoted for their "growth". If you really want to quit do what I did, reach out to a head hunter. Let them know that you are looking for a new job and what it is you are looking for. Let them do all the work at no expense to you. It's a lot easier than you think, the unfortunate thing though is the "rental/virtual MBA" experience doesn't amount to shit outside in the real world. |
