What better way to show your enthusiasm about your great rental experience at Enterprise than to contact the people in the main offices themselves! No doubt they're anxious to hear from all of you happy customers out there, so here it goes courtesy of hoovers.com

Thank you for supplying the Corporate Address for Enterprise. Not surprisingly, there is no corporate contact listed on their official website. Instead, the company continues to hide behind smoke and mirrors.

Thanks to whomever posted their address this company is a complete joke they talk about customer service and they have none, the car was a joke filthy and unkept, expired plates, their payment policies also a joke, You need to use a debitcard to pay let me see last years W2, a recent utility bill, your first born, a retinal scan, and a personal guarntee for 10K.

This is not even mentioning when I needed a car their local office had all of 2 vehicles for me to choose from yes 2!!! I cant wait to see what their response is to my hate mail I intend on sending them. My suggestion to people looking for a car when traveling or otherwise

A V I S !

A very very disatisfied customer.

This guy is the exact reason why it sucks to work at ERAC. I'm sure if he was lending a complete stranger a car and they had an unsecured form of payment...he'd want some frickin' information. Were giving you a car, not a video!!! To my knowledge, you can't even use a debit card at your local blockbuster to start up an account. I'm sure he's exageratting about the condition of the car too since he's right on track about the underwriting procedures of a debit card. Oh wait, underwriting might be too big of a word for you so I'll break it down...it is what we do to qualify you to a rent a car. Just remember, we don't owe you a car, we don't have to rent you a car, it is a privilage to rent a car. Also, you should be glad they had 2 cars to choose from, cause you probably didnt have a res, and it probably never occured in your egotistical world, that mabey, just mabey, a few other people might be in your same situation and need a car also.
To be honest, I'm glad you were dissatisfied and hopefully you will never come back. It will be funny beacuse like the above poster said...you probably cant even rent a car at Avis with a debit card, and you'll probably have to rent from ERAC again, and it will kill you inside. I hope that they are sold out or give you a kia rio with 41000 mi on it that smells like a wet dog mixed with b.o. from a 300 pound man that sweated in it for 5 hours on the way to vegas. When you have a legitimate compliaint, let us know and I'm sure we can work something out. And as far as your hate mail... we pay a paper shredding company alot of money and I'm sure your letters will find thier way into the box faster than I can say "I just don't give a fuck!"

Default Enterprise Phone Calls

I started recieving phone calls from Enterprise and it is a recording that says "mailbox 322 has one new message please enter your security code" it repeats itself at least three times then says "thank you" and hangs up. It calls every 15 minutes and if I do not answer the call it will leave me a message. This began in September of 2005 and continued through feb 2006. I talked to at least 8 people to get them to help me and no one did. The phone finally stopped on their own. I tried to talk to my phone company about blocking the call, but it is a corporate account and cannot be done. The phone calls began again today and I have already spoken to two different people that actually laughed about it to me and said they had never heard of that and did not know what to do to help me. I am thinking of contacting my attorney so that they can help in resolving the situation. I do not have the time to continue to answer my phone or listen to mesages on my phone all the time. It has frustrated me like no one can believe and the funny part about the situation is I HAVE NEVER RENTED A CAR FROM THEM!!!!

The message sounds like an employee's voice mail prompting. Sounds like some gliche in the phone system. Maybe your phone number is similar to an employee's number in the enterprise administration office. It sounds more like a problem that the phone company should look into further. Is this ringing in to your work phone or personal phone? If it's work, see if your company can give you a new extension. If it's your home number, it might just be easier to change your phone number. Either way, it will much simpler than getting an attorney involved. You'd just be wasting your money.

I've had a bad experience with Enterprise, not necessarily with the company but with specific employee( s ). Following is a letter that I am sending to Corporate that describes my experience.

************************************************** *******

To Whom it may concern,

I will warn you in advance, this will be a long story. Regardless, I implore you to read on.

In August of 2006, my fiancé and I flew to Washington, D.C. from Orange County, CA for a week long vacation in Shenandoah National Park. We rented a shiny black Buick Lucerne from the Enterprise Rental Facility at Dulles International Airport. We were pleasantly surprised by the car, it was comfortable and quite luxurious and sporty. It served us well.

After a wonderful week of sightseeing in both the National Park and Washington, D.C., we returned the car to the same location on August 28th, 2006.

Because of security at the various museums and destinations in the Capital, we made the decision to carry only our Driver's License for identification, rather than our entire wallets. I left my wallet in the center console of the Buick and I forgot it there when we returned the car.

The following day, after returning to California, we realized that my wallet wasn't packed in our luggage. The last time I recalled seeing my wallet was when I put it in the center console on the morning of our last day in D.C. so we called the Enterprise office at Dulles and informed them that I had forgotten my wallet in the vehicle. I was told, in the monotonous tone of someone who hates their job, to "please hold", as if it was such a bother to honor the request of a customer that she needed time to think about it before acting. Minutes later she returned to inform me that "there was nothing left in the vehicle." I insisted that I was certain that it was forgotten there and asked if she had checked the center console. She unconvincingly said that she had personally checked and there was nothing in the car but if it turned up they would contact me at the phone number on the contract.

I was questioning my recollection at this point and was committed to exploring all options before going through the difficulties of canceling all of my credit cards, changing my checking account numbers, reporting stolen my passport and Social Security card, and facing the fact that a business card that belonged to my deceased father, the only item of his that I possess, was now gone. I called the hotel, the Dulles Airport Police, the TSA, and anyone else I could think of to ask about my wallet. The hotel said that they believed that a wallet had been found but I would have to wait until housekeeping returned to confirm. That process went on for nearly three weeks while the night manager forgot to communicate to the day manager who forgot to talk to housekeeping. During this time I closely monitored the activity on my credit cards and checking accounts, sometimes three or four times a day. There was no activity. From this I deduced that it was simply misplaced somewhere, perhaps in the hotel lost and found or perhaps someone at Enterprise had found it and just hadn’t had the chance to contact me.

Approximately three weeks later I received a call from the Bank of America fraud department asking if I had used my debit card at five different Maryland gas stations today. At this point I knew that someone had my wallet and was forced to, amongst other things, immediately report all cards to the appropriate bank, contact the Social Security Office and the Passport office in D.C., and change my checking account numbers.

Flash forward four-and-a-half months to January 19, 2006. During the course of the day, I received a number of calls from the 757 area code. I didn't recognize the number and, since I was at work, decided to not answer. The number kept coming up after my work day was complete so I reluctantly answered. A woman told me a story about how her husband works for the Newport News Police Department in Virginia, his responsibilities there are to inspect and modify vehicles purchased at auction for use as undercover police cars. Like you, I was wondering why she was calling me and where this story was going.

She informed me that her husband, while inspecting a Black Buick Lucerne they had recently purchased at auction, found a rental agreement in the glove box with my name on it. In addition, he found a checklist emblazoned with the Enterprise logo indicating that the vehicle had been searched for lost or forgotten items and that none were found. In the center console of the car, he found a "large pile of credit cards, a passport with stamps from far off places, a checkbook, numerous business cards, a social security card, and several photographs…" all belonging to me. Under this pile was my now empty wallet. They didn't notice my father’s business card.

As you might imagine, my first reaction was one of astonishment. When the euphoria wore off I was left with anger and frustration with Enterprise Rental. I accept responsibility for my absent mindedness and realize that there is no one to blame but myself for forgetting my wallet in your vehicle. However, there is no longer any question in my mind that not only was my first suspicion the correct one, but that you have in your employ someone who is dishonest, lazy, and possibly, a thief. Because I don't know if the car was rented again after we returned it, I can't say for certain that it was your employee who stole my debit and credit card and proceeded to use it. One thing I can say for sure is that, despite what she said, your employee never looked in the car for my wallet. She lied because she is lazy and couldn't be bothered to do her job. Her lack of honesty has caused me to endure weeks of anxiety, hours upon hours of phone calls, and perhaps the loss of something that I held very dear.

Needless to say, I am excited to know that the wallet I haven't seen for nearly five months is being returned to me but that excitement is tempered by the fact that my faith in people has been permanently damaged. We will never rent from Enterprise again. I hope that you can identify the employee who I spoke to and that she is severely reprimanded for her lack of honesty, but I doubt it.

I will be reporting this information to the Bank of America fraud department. Whether or not they contact you will be their decision but for the integrity of your company, I hope that you do something about this.

Sincerely,

P.S. I received the wallet and its remaining contents a couple weeks ago. Amongst years of collected receipts and aforementioned items, I found there to be three items missing, a debit card, a credit card, and a business card that meant more to me than all the other things, combined.

************************************************** ********

Now, I have a couple questions for you. The gentleman who found the wallet claimed that there was some document indicating that the vehicle had been searched for "Lost or Forgotten Items" and that none were found. He didn't send that document to me and I was just wondering if any of you are familiar with it and/or if you are familiar with the process of preparing a vehicle for sale or auction.

Also, who would you recommend I address this letter to?

I realize that many of you here are current or former employees of Enterprise and I don't want you to think that I am railing against you. I'm pissed off at the woman at Dulles. I also realize that, had I not been absentminded and forgotten my wallet in the car, none of this would have ever happened. I guess I'm just disappointed that I had a certain faith that the companies I choose to patronize are working in my best interests. I expected that when I told her the specific location in the car where it could be found, she would actually look. What she probably did was check some paperwork submitted by some other person that indicated that there was nothing left in the car, even though she told me she had personally checked.
