Default customer service my ass

I recently had an accident in a car that I rented from enterprise. They were so quick to take the money but could care less about the accident. It was a really bad accident and I had to be rushed to the emergency room. While I was trying to breath I wasn't really all that concerned about making sure that all my belongings were out of the car. My mother called the company when we returned from the hospital and they told me they could not find the car. I called the tow truck company and they told me they couldn't give me the info because I didn't own the vehicle. So I called the enterprise loss control manager Kuddy Baird and she was no help. I continued to follow up on the situation by calling everyone and their mother about my things. Kuddy told me I was a liar, my mom was a liar, and that my dad told her it was no big deal. No big deal that my insurance card, vin number, registration, keys to my house, keys to my personal car, and all kinds of personal info was in god knows whos hands? She also told me that I was retarded and that the accident must have caused brain damage. I have spoken to about 20 different people within the company and not one of them have any customer service skills what so ever. I am honestly considering bringing this company to court so they can pay my hospital bills, pay to get a new insurance card, a new registration card, new locks on my car, and new locks for my house. I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to rent from them and this company is going to be in some more hot water after I get done. Any suggestions on how I should pursue this?

I don't believe a word of it. ERAC is a shit company but I seriously doubt they told you you were retarded or that the accident caused brain damage.

I have heard similar things from other people about how unprofessional their representatives are. I have also read similar complaints regarding how shitty their customer service is. My suggestion is bring them to small claims court if there was a lot of belongings in the car.

I believe this to be entirely true. This is not an ethical company, nor do they encourage ethical behavior. Ultimately, they are only interested in their profits... customer-be-damned. That's why I finally grew tired of working there. Most employees don't last long. ERAC's method is to hire the gullible over-eager type and work them into exhaustion until they quit. There are always more of 'that type' out there on college campuses everywhere, and they're willing to put up with maltreatment. And if THEY are willing to put up with being mistreated, they certainly have no problem mistreating the customer.

If you DO decide to pursue this, hire an attorney. Better yet, hire a street bum to stand outside of their corporate offices on the sidewalk with a sign. Eventually they'll get the picture. There aren't enough people who are standing up for their rights. I wish you well.

Sad but true. ERAC only wants the $ from it's customers. They don't care about long term relationships or value it's people.
They do care about their image. Put that bum in front of one of their larger offices and see how that goes over.

Are you really going to sue because of some lost car keys and a drivers license? If all this wasn't in your purse or wallet or on your person like a pocket but you had your medical insurance card on you? Story is far fetched, I think you're exagerrating.

yep.
erac is a lot of bad things, but this story is too much...erac people, esp the higher up, fawn over customers at the branch's expense

As much as it sucks to lose personal items, it's not the responsiablity of Enterprise to replace them. If you were in an accident, what happend to to the car? Was it towed? Could somebody have stole your stuff? If the car was not in your posession 100% of the time, how can you blame Enterprise for your missing things?

And we pride ourselves on customer service....in fact cannot get promoted without it....
