wow, Customers and third parties pull this excuse all of the damn time on ERAC...bodyshops, dealerships, insurance companies...they all use that excuse, almost verbatim, to pressure branches into waiving damage waiver dollars.
For some it's a personal vendetta, has nothing to do with a customer, they see dub on a contract and feel that they're acting on behalf of the customer and ask for it to be waived...when the customer hasn't said a word about it.
I try hard not to side with ERAC just because I work there, but I do admit I usually give them the benefit of the doubt if there's a question. Most people do try and do the right thing. Most, not all.
