They told me to take it to the airport valet (3rd floor in the garage) and tell the person there it was a rental for Enterprise and give them the keys, they would handle it from there. I asked again before I left about where and how to return the vehicle after hours and was given the same instructions again. So when I left Vegas i took the car to the valet and left it with him (in the same condition as I got it) at 4:45am--also asked for the valets name. No sooner had I landed at my home destination I had a message to contact Enterprise. They then informed me that the car returned had "major damage" done to it--damage to passenger door and back panel! Also they mentioned that they did not get their car until 10:30 am--over 5 hours after I returned it to valet. This sounds really fishy to me, obviously the damage must have occured in the time that the valet was in possession of the vehicle. How is this now my problem since I only followed their instructions on how to return the vehicle? |
Did you let them know that is what happened yet? The valet probably told them that you returned it that way but unfortunately you are responsible for the vehicle until it is returned to the ERAC office. If you rented it on your own, valet parked it and it was damaged but the valet people denied it you would be paying for it yourself anyways. I am not sure why that office has a valet service to take cars after hours (is it McCarran A/P) because I went there and I know they are offsite so that is probably why but you should also contact other companies and see what they do in an after-hours drop situation. Have you called the valet company to complain about the damage and ask to talk to the valet in question? Or did you read about people complaining here and decide that you should give out the name and number and branch location and the loss control reps information along with child’s name, spouses name and church they attend (does your wife write church songs?) Anyways, see what you can come up with and post again!
