| THe car was reserved by my nissan dealership...they knew I was coming...I didnt arrange the car so it is not my problem, it was strictly between the dealer and enterprise. For the 50th time, I did not act like an asshole at the branch...the main problem is they rented me a car with a dent and do not have the controls in place to prevent false accusations. It is bad business however you look at it...there should be some type of flag in the computer system to populate the new sheet they fill out to note pre-existing damage..then nobody would even have to fucking worry...it would be there for every customer following, and when its fixed, take it out of the system. Sounds simple, you'd think a company like enterprise could implement this. And as for all you crazy crackpots on here, based on you're disturbed posts its no wonder you could not cut it at enterprise, perhaps you should try something a little easier and less stressful....Wal*Mart greeter perhaps? |

| Okay. Now I posted earlier on this thread that I thought the responses to your story were out of line. Now, you are in a pissing contest. For the record, I do not believe the customer is always right. I believe the customer, just like the person behind the counter, deserves to be treated with at least some minimum level of respect. In today's Walmart world, you better protect yourself. People make mistakes. It is a fact of life. It isn't always easy to accept, but it sure does help the old blood pressure if you can. You guys talking about dumb customers need to relax. Most people are completely unfamiliar with the rent a car industry. It is very different from the perspective of the consumer, and many of them never get it. You let them rent an expensive asset and at some unbelievably low price at that. They never, or almost never, read the fine print of the contract. They just don't understand. That is just the way it is. Yes, the prudent customer would learn a little about what is going on when he/she drives off in a $25,000 piece of equipment for which he/she is financially responsible, but they are rare. So accept it, and stop calling them dumb. |

You're right, they should have a system in place....and ya know what? They do. It sounded like that "17 year old kid" just jumped the gun a little bit when he noticed the dent and brought it up to you before he went back inside and pulled up the unit history. The employee made a slight error in judgment in how he approached you. That's all. You weren't charged. You were never going to be charged. Get over yourself. |

And they do have systems in place to alert them of damage. How do you think the “kid” new the dent was already there? And perhaps ????? could chime in with his vast computer knowledge and explain that it wouldn’t be possible to have every dent and scratch programmed into the computer and have it print on the contract. Why do you have a hard time understanding this??? By the way dick, you drive a Maxima. I worked at a Benz dealership in Ft. Lauderdale. Our average customers drove the SL 500 . . . a $90K-$100K vehicle. Any Walmart greeter could afford a Maxima. Shit, the commercials are saying you can lease them for $279 a month. You might be a social lion to your friends, but here you’re just an animal cracker. Oh, and for the 50th time, you weren’t charged. |

I think I've got you straight, and believe me, I understand. You're on welfare. You couldn't afford the extra 5 dollars for the day to upgrade into something similar to what you drive (probably because you have a shitty job) Lesson learned, go out, apply yourself, get a better job and then you might be able to live once and a while. Good luck, and God's speed |

**I missed the 'or'. should read (or probably because you have a shitty job) |

There was a lapse in judgement by the employee. Lets recap, you do not know me or my situation...but get extemely defensive when an enterprise employee makes a mistake and it is pointed out. Does calling me a loser who picks up your garbage make you feel successful? I think that is setting the bar low enough to make an insurance pushing carwasher or a shop boy (for Mercedes) sound very GLAMOROUS! |

| I went to Dick's sports the other day and bought Tiki Torches (they were on sale for 1.99 down from 5.99) and they all did not have the correct pricing sticker on them. The young lady (probably 12) behind the counter tried to actually charge me for the full price (I mean who the fuck doesn't check the price tags on every piece of merchandise in the store) and when I pointed it out to her that only one of them had the sticker and that it was under that sign over there she changed the price to the correct amount. I mean WTF!!?? The system should have automatically realized that the product I was buying (bamboo tiki torches) was on sale. Dick's is a bog company and they can afford a better system than the one they have. Plus from scanning the same tiki torch previously (I am sure she had since they were out for months) she have the price memorized. I am probably the only customer she had to deal with in the past 2-3 weeks. Now I live in section 8 housing but it's the bigger place since I pay and extra $35 per month than the normal crack addicts who live near me but that makes me the biggest turd in the toilet. I am never going to Dick's again because they have stupid 12 year olds working there and they aren't even hot! PS. Was the sarcasm layed on thick enough?? __________________ "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt"-Abe Lincoln |
